Kooley High‘s Charlie Smarts joins Tab-One on “Postcards”, a leak from his upcoming album LowBottomMe. Dropping on July 11, it’s an eight-track tour of North Carolina with an appearance by Rapper Big Pooh. Smarts has worked with 9th Wonder and “Postcards” producer Marshall Law, another native of North Carolina, sounds like he’s from the same arena. It has smooth samples as the Kooley High kid says, “I’m gravy, I’m gravy,” and he’s right. The track is gravy. On “Postcards”, taste what Raleigh has been cooking up. You might get hooked. And if you do, look out for Monday’s release.
