Last month we highlighted Bleached, the duo of Jessica and Jennifer Clavin. The sisters’ former Mika Miko bandmate-turned-director Kate Hall has a newish musical project as well called Dunes. The low-key lo-fi LA trio, which also features Stephanie Chan and Mark Greshowak, follows up last year’s self-titled EP (Mexican Summer) and “Old Souls” 7″ (Art Fag) with the woozy post-punk single “Tied Together,” a tune that will appeal to fans of Puro Instinct. 夜のニュースをボヤっと見ていたら、窓の外に激しくたたきつける雨の音。慌てて階上に走り、開け放しておいた窓を閉めてみたりする。
いや、普段はこんなことでは立ち上がりもしないレイジーなワタシだが、何しろ一昨日は我が家の駐車場が突然の雨で水没という事件あり、さすがに神経質になっているのだった。この調子で降り続けるなら、寝る前に一回、見回りに行ってみるべきかも知れない。

What we missed late June 2011
June was a difficult month as I was traveling for personal reasons and at times it was hard to really hammer out some posts. With that said, all that is behind me and I dedicate this post to everyone that didn’t quite have the time to catch up on some new music.
